Inside

This work was recently featured on Spillwords Press. I had not posted it here, in the hopes they would be more interested in unpublished works. But as this is the digital repository for all my writing, I thought I would share it for those who may have missed the post with the link to its publication elsewhere.

Penned by Brad Osborne

The me I hide

The me inside

A little boy

A broken toy

What I exude

Shows not the feud

Struggles within

Remain hidden

The truth belied

Not seen outside

Not sure the me

For them to see

If opened once

It holds no bunce

The flood I fear

May then appear

The truth laid bare

So all can stare

Now in their sight

My private plight

This broken toy

This little boy

The me inside

The me I hide
