My Lullaby
Though our lips have never met
I have kissed you a million times
For each time that I have slept
I partake of you in my mind
Though absent of your fragrance
You have scented every dream
An aroma of lust and romance
Carried aloft by lurid steam
Though no touch is rendered true
I can feel it in my head
Fingers trace each curve of you
When I am lying in my bed
Though I have not seen those eyes
The cold is warmed by their fire
A longing and want unrealized
When at end of day respire
Though your words never heard
Music of lilt and loving sigh
Echo each and every word
As you sing my lullaby

[…] My Lullaby by Brad Osborne. Touchingly romantic, masterful poetry. And, also from Brad, this awesome, brilliant and clever poem, Life in Contradiction. […]
