It was the adoration you loved most
Filling some vacancy in your soul
Until you somehow lost control
Venom now spewed in every post
What you see as grand gifted art
The organic and petulant reverie
Reflecting only that which you see
Clearly seen in the falling apart
God forbid we ever be revised
In the journey to masterpiece
Polish is not needed in the least
If perfection has been surmised
I did not want to walk away
But the hate that filled your words
Unwarranted and a bit absurd
Made it that I could not stay
The judgements you have made
About the βwhyβ of things past
Sunk in so lightening fast
But never made the grade
Apologies will mean nothing
When you have decided intent
Was evil and surely meant
Some harm to you to bring
But you wonβt see it differently
And I cannot change your view
And all the projections from you
Are not seen on the screen of me
That spoke loudly and clearly to me! Excellent!
Thank you! I am glad it holds something identifiable!
Your poetries are such an amazing read. I like the flow, it just takes me into a different dimension along with it, best part is it has a variety. It’s always a pleasure read Brad. Thanks for sharing π
Thank you kindly, Vinayak! Those words mean so much coming from such a talented artist as yourself. π
To be honest I am just learning Brad. This platform gives me an opportunity to write, express my thoughts and read amazing work like yours.
That may be true, V, as we are all still learning and growing our craft. But your works are not those of a beginner. They are a powerful voice, crafted into beautiful words, and shared openly. Your success is certainly obvious, even if you feel it is unwarranted.
Thanks Brad, I never expected such kind responses from you or any of my readers. This only keeps me motivated to deliver my best to myself and my audience. Thank you for your best wishes ππ
This is excellent! I love your ability to show emotion through your poetry!
Thank you, Kristian! Like most, I wonder sometimes if something will connect with the reader. Thank you for words of encouragement and support!
loved the closing phrase “the screen of me”; also, that image brought back a lot of bad memories π
Thanks, Jim! The red pen holds bad memories for many of us. Can I assume you have used one in the lecture hall?
Brilliant. Itβs like reading a whole novel. You are a master story teller, Brad.
Yasmin, you are too kind. Someday I will share the origin of that story when I can be assured no harm will come from it.
Brilliant. And those last two lines; masterful! π
Thank you kindly, Ms. Grant! I know how busy you are and greatly appreciate the time you give to read and comment. Your support means a lot to me and I hope you know you will always have mine! β€ππβ€
