Dreamy

The fairies’ song fell upon our ears

In the magical and dreamy forest

And we, holding hands, did sing out clear

As our voices joined in the chorus

In the arboretum spread before us

As incantations blew in the wind

With whimsical words spoken low

Chanted breeze caressed each limb

Carried the secrets that no one knows

Filling the woods with worded echoes

This conjured and mythical place

Filled with an army of wooden souls

An ethereal and spell-bound space

Where we played our written roles

Letting the magic take control

As light fell through whispered bough

You began to vanish like rising steam

Reality had broken through somehow

For nothing is left of these vivid scenes

Of a conjured love, only in my dreams

It’s wonderful to read varied work , work that touches upon different themes and ideas. You have a wonderful quill , Brad. Let the ink flow.

nothing left but your dreams, and the words you used to capture the experience…
