Fall Away

Let them fall away

Hurtful words that people say

Tears that wash the pain that stays

And drips upon a wounded heart

Let them never start

Bad tides pulling dreams apart

Sailing seas that have no chart

Bound to the wash of wind and wave

You must be more brave

Fight as if your life to save

Leave fear in that darkened cave

Walk in the light, a brighter you

Something that you knew

Before their words cut through you

Infecting sight with their view

Hidden trolls that constantly bray

Let them fall away

Hurtful words that people say

Shade that paints a duller grey

You’re a beautiful work of art

wonderful poem, and I noticed the rhyming pattern – something I would have never done before I started reading whittled words! and I agree, let’s stop using hurtful words…

Thank you Brad. We are doing fine, thank God, but the country is in lock-down, we cannot go out unless it is for food or medicines…strange things occurring these days. Hope you are well, stay safe and writing.

I am well and safe. Just waiting to see where things go. Here things may get worse before they start to get better. But fear not, I have always been a survivor. Thank you for your concern and gracious support!

        My pleasure Brad, always

  4. Fall is a reminder of Ressurection. Great work 😊
