I Missed Us

I almost forget what she looks like

And I wonder if she’ll remember me

It’s been a long, cold winter away

And spring love brings an urgency

We’ve slept away these lonely months

Like new love, our romance needs renewed

As nearness brings you home again

My world grows from your beauty imbued

I had forgotten just how pretty you are

Your sleek lines and so lovely a frame

And you may have forgotten my touch

But it’s not you who is to blame

I will remind you the softness of hand

The loving touch you dreamed of each day

The sudden rush of wind-blown love

As we dance to the rhythm and sway

We, again, will become the sum of two

A marriage giving each of us life

I am sorry I’ve been gone so long

I love you, my two-wheeled wife

I kept thinking I might need a cold shower after reading your poem, and then I was expecting heartache, but I was not expecting that twist! I love your writing so much. 😍You’re such a phenomenal poet! I never would have guessed you rode a bike, but it suits you. 😉 I’m sensing a little James Dean beneath your sweet demeanor. 😍😘

    • Brad Osborne says:

James Dean would certainly be a romanticized vision of what may lie beneath. You didn’t think you had the market on being layered did you? Glad you liked it and it kept you guessing. There is always room for two on the bike….just saying! 😁🏍❤

      • kristianw84 says:

Oh no, I knew I wasn’t the only one with many layers. I figured you would surprise me one day, it was only a matter of time. I’d love to go on a ride with you, Brad. I’ve never been on one, but have always wanted to.

      • Brad Osborne says:

That sounds like a bucket list thing for sure! Who knows what the future holds? But I warn you, it can be addicting. 😊

  8. kristianw84 says:

It definitely is a bucket list item. That’s probably why my dad never let me ride when I was younger. I’ve always been a bit wild. Lol.

  9. Jim Borden says:

the two of you probably have so much to talk about… 🙂 enjoy your first ride…

  10. This is beautiful and sweet Brad. I am not going to say more for I don’t know if it’s only your imagination or you refer at real event.
But I am going to send you love and good wishes.
