Kiss Me

Like stardust fallen somehow

Upon the softness of your lash

A glint in eye below raised brow

My hunger so unabashed

Red crescent lips bid me nigh

Your words whisper like the breeze

And deep within your gazing eye

My heart swings the high trapeze

The smile there below raven hair

A small distance to succulent bliss

Creates the longing in the air

My need of your ravenous kiss

It’s so coy, the faΓ§ade you employ

As you feign what may happen next

You worked hard and had great joy

In having me so smitten and vexed

So now, for you, I am playing my role

I have leaned in only inches away

Close the distance, commune our souls

Finish this game you play

Kiss me hard, inhibitions set free

Let me be your unrepentant sin

Shed any costume of chastity

I am in love with the devil within

Wow! This is better than anything I could have imagined. My heart is racing! So many emotions, love, compassion, burning desire. 😍😍 Beautifully and masterfully penned. My Kevin is quite the poet, there’s no way Jessica could resist. πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹

    • Brad Osborne says:

Kevin is a panty dropper, for sure! It is sad that his confidence hides behind his pen. But, if anyone can free him, it would be Jessica, and her vivacious, vixen ways. Thanks for the love! πŸ’‹πŸ˜˜πŸ’‹πŸ˜˜β€

      • kristianw84 says:

No, thank you! I’ve only ever inspired one other person (to my knowledge,) to write a poem. It wasn’t filled with such emotion though. You took something between fictional characters and made them real. You’ve got me rooting for my own characters to make it, and it’s an amazing feeling. I am deeply touched and overwhelming honored, Brad. I had to read it twice. That last line “I am in love with the devil within” hit home. If Jessica had “accidentally” found this, she would have found Kevin and ravished him. She wouldn’t want to admit it, but she would be putty in his hands. Always! πŸ’‹β€πŸ’‹β€πŸ˜˜

      • kristianw84 says:

That’s supposed to say overwhelmingly honored.

      • Brad Osborne says:

Funny thing is that “overwhelming’ works if you put the period after it. “I am deeply touched and overwhelming.” πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ True. One would think I would learn to not leave a comment until after I’ve had my morning coffee. I’m not very alert before it. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

      • Brad Osborne says:

Awww…commenting before you have had your coffee. How freaking sweet is that? 😘 (heart squeezes)

      • kristianw84 says:

I couldn’t wait. I literally got up, grabbed my phone, and read your poem. I was like a kid on Christmas morning. Of course, the poem itself woke me up. I have no excuses. Lol. 😘

      • Brad Osborne says:

        That warms my heart! πŸ’‹

      • kristianw84 says:

Happy to give you warm heart squeezes! πŸ’‹πŸ€—

      • Brad Osborne says:

My perception of Jessica was that despite her very controlled and chaste appearance and demeanor, there is an uninhibited, vivacious, and insatiable woman just beneath the skin. She knows that part of herself and it scares her to let it out. Kevin wants her to feel safe enough to set her free, much to his benefit in the end. I am glad it has given something back to you from the story you so thoughtfully shared. Mad love! β€πŸ’•πŸ₯°πŸ˜˜

      • kristianw84 says:

You hit the nail on the head. Now I’m the one who feels transparent. Much love! ❀πŸ₯°πŸ˜˜πŸ’ž

      • Brad Osborne says:

        Transparent and fluffy! πŸ”πŸ¦„

  7. petespringerauthor says:

You nailed this one, Brad! Who can forget that feeling of longing?

  8. WOW Brad. This is so beautiful and passionate. The metaphors used to describe her are so sensual. The finale is glorious:
“Kiss me hard, inhibitions set free
Let me be your unrepentant sin”
I am in awe my dear friend. You are a great poet.
