A Beautiful Kind
In crimson cries the southern skies
Long tears drip in great lament
This rosy view of reddish hue
A loving message ever sent
The ashen gray birds fly away
To find the setting sun on wing
With muted tone and wishes thrown
They still find a reason to sing
And in the glass, our last repast
Let us drink it to the dregs
For we donβt know the full sorrow
Till heart bleeds and lonely begs
A jealous green, the meadow seen
As it covets the waning sun
And what it gives to all that live
A familiar song well sung
And just because a momentβs pause
Is all it takes for us to find
This thing we share, oh so rare
A world of the beautiful kind
Such a beautiful description of the setting sun. Loved the poem so much.
Thank you, Rajaneesh, for your kind words and continuing support!
My pleasure
Great! Smashing poem Brad! Loved it! Beautiful words, perfectly placed, precisely tuned. I hope you are having a great Sunday! Today the children are allowed to go to the park and next Saturday all of us will finally be allowed to go out and exercise! Thank God for small favours (really big ones in these days)! All the best,
Francisco
Thank you, my dear friend! I am glad you enjoyed it. So happy to hear that things are opening up a bit for you. Your country has done itself proud in pulling together and keeping your people safe. Stay safe and well, Francisco! Watch out for sunburn…π
Thank you Brad! Yes, the sun will be shining and I burn too easily so that is great advise. Take good care and all the best my friend,
Francisco

There are not enough words in the English language to describe how much I love this poem! It’s beautiful. I can just picture myself looking out across a field and watching the sunset. Majestic & beautiful! ππ
Thank you, Kristian! You are so very kind with your praise and continuing support. I need that, as I often question the impact of what I write. I am so happy this touched you in some way! Much love, always! β€ππ€
Everything you write is gold. And I’m not just saying that because your my friend, I really mean it. Much love! β€ππ€
I know you are sincere. It is why I feel so lucky to have you as a friend. You care enough to always be honest with me, and that is hard to find. β€ππππβ£
