Pandemic Poem: Rally Now (By Brad Osborne)

Blog of the Wolf Boy

Now is not the time to sit in our sorrows
Actions demand more than oration
We must see to our fallen heroes
We must fight without reservation

On caskets hangs our hallowed flag
War has always had its cost
But this is paid in innocent blood
Nothing gained in each battle lost

A call to arms to work as one
A finger pointed to history
Where our love for human soul
Dictated our bravery

Where great effort and burden shared
And the honor seen in our sacrifice
Etched in both the way we cared
And how willing we paid the price

Stand with me to see this through
Run to the trumpeter’s call
I will be right there next to you
We will catch you if you fall

So, rally now and show your pride
Show our world the best we can be
This fight will stand the test of…
