Hate Flows
Hate cleaves the mortal soul
Like water cuts through stone
Grinding away the loving whole
And leaving the marrowed bone
It culls away the kindness
Leaving canyons so very deep
Being awash in that blindness
Perspective is hard to keep
I must stem this constant tide
Or forever be left changed
As what was once good inside
Is turbulently rearranged
I cannot swim this torrent
I must build the hopeful dam
For hate is never well meant
And not a part of who I am
Don’t let it take us down – we are stronger than that.
True words, my friend!
Hate is a taught emotion, one we are not equipped with at birth. How sad that we find a world right now so absorbed in this mean emotion! Thanks for words of encouragement to stand strong the tide!
I agree that hate is only a learned emotion. Hopefully, it is just as easily unlearned. Thank you for your kind words and support!
Oof. I felt this. I agree, we cannot allow hate to consume us. We must spread love & hold steadfast to hope. Now more than ever!
I am hoping for a lot of things, it is the steadfast part that is hard right now. Thanks, Kristian! 🌹❤
I’m always available if you need an ear. ❤🤗
And that is appreciated with love! 🥰
The world could use more kindness and less hate…
Beautiful and powerful words, Brad!
Thanks, Jim!
Beautiful Brad and so very touching and relevant today. Hate is such a powerful and destructive thing. It is a thing we learn. Have a blessed evening my friend. Love and hugs coming your way from NC. 🌸🌺❤️Jonikins
