The Uncompromised Self

I hope, one day, you will realize

That self cannot be compromised

Who you are and who you’ll be

Not set by fate or mere destiny

We grow and change constantly

Improvement found inherently

We know best where we came from

And must own the person we become

The want to grow, a true catalyst

Where a better you seeks to exist

When you see your future in this way

The better you awakes each day

But you must be just who you are

A reflection both pure and true

Let go of their expectations

Be the uncompromised you

Beautiful, inspiring, and much needed right now! ❤ I am honestly surprised at how well I’ve been handling bad news lately, but pain has a way of teaching us who we are and I am proud of the woman I am and the direction I’m heading. I’m both excited and terrified to see where this next chapter leads, but I’m so glad I have people like you that I can turn to. Your words and friendship are worth more than gold!! Love you, my friend! ❤😘💋
