Faith Knows Not Fear

We fear our own demise

The closing of our eyes

A world that fades away

The dying of our last day

Whatever God you praise

Comes on that final day

The promises to keep

In your eternal sleep

Rewards of life lived right

Past seen in hallowed light

And joy is all that is found

As we trod the holy ground

The days we lived before

Reviewed and given score

Our actions and our thoughts

Is how our future bought

And in our faith, we find truth

True belief comes without proof

Fear no longer the coming night

You have earned your promised light

This is a prayer in many ways and a lovely declaration of faith. I particularly love the way you closed the poem:
“And in our faith, we find truth
    True belief comes without proof
Fear no longer the coming night
You have earned your promised light.”
Great work my friend. As a lover of God, I can certainly appreciate this poem. Take good care and all the best.

Good morning Brad, I love this. Beautiful poem about faith. I love your title as it is so true. “Faith Knows Not Fear”.

Beautiful timing And my favorite stanza is:

    “The days we lived before

    Reviewed and given score

    Our actions and our thoughts

    “Is how our future bought”

Nicely done Brad. Just a lovely poem. Have a great rest of the week my friend. Sending love ❤️ and lots of hugs 🤗 to you. Joni

  3. I believe faith is a wand we use to explore the magical unknown of our life, and what’s unknown definitely raise fear. Death is a known unknown, and faith is what guides us through the bleakness of life and uncertainty of death. A very good topic and as always wonderfully written 👌 😊
