It Is Not A Hoax
Science is not theoretical
Not based on hypothetical
It bears up to any review
And is understood as true
The greatest minds do teach thus
The tipping point has reached us
We are killing our Mother Earth
Burning her down all sheβs worth
And yet we still want to argue
That the truth is not so true
And we sit just idly by
As we watch our planet die
Although our world is very nice
We have no want to sacrifice
The future is left in doubt
For the world we canβt do without
We cannot act together as one
To stave off the charring of the sun
Hope our children have a better run
On this planet we killed for fun
Wow!! The rhyme scheme and the meaning behind. This is awesome!
Thank you, Shreya! You are so very kind!
Just being honest, Brad! Loved it.
These words are sadly true, making this a compelling read. I was just thinking about this yesterday, specifically thinking that, although I am a serious recycler, I also tend to use a lot of paper plates and things that create trash that lives in landfills. I miss the days of camping and campfires where all of those things were burned up and made into ash – not necessarily better for the earth, I suppose….
What a wonderful message Brad, in quest to develop and be the greatest we started ruining whats greatest of all and when the fury of the universe falls , we all are insignificant. π
Well said, my friend. Thanks for all your support!
Always my pleasure Brad π
Awesome stuff. Great thoughts expressed, Brad.
Thank you, Yasmin!
My pleasure always.
such a loss and described with such rhythm
Thank you, Beth!
It makes me so sad how people blatantly disrespect our planet. It’s not hard to make even small changes to help, and if every single person made those small changes, recycling, reduced use of plastics, etc…. we could preserve our planet!! I realize there’s more to it than that, it just baffles me how some people don’t think there’s anything wrong!! Nicely expressed!! The world needs more people like you. πβ€
Aww, that is nice of you to say. Thanks, Kristian!
I like when you use your poetic gifts to bring light to our problems; another job well done, Brad!
Thanks, Jim!
thank you!
Wow, Brad. I loved the message and the rhyming scheme. Such a powerful piece of poetry
Thank you, Shweta!
It is mind-blowing to me that science has become so controversial. What’s next? Math? π€
For all of our advances in the world of science, we now make fact a matter of opinion. The exact opposite of what science should be. Who would have thought?
To paraphrase, ‘The only thing wrong with science are the scientists’. As people can be, some “scientists” are corrupted by ideology, greed, or status, clouding their objectivity. Science and math in and of themselves are safe and sound.
Yes, as soon as you add “human” to any equation, the answer becomes less obvious. Thanks for reading and commenting!
