As swords are beaten into ploughshares

So is man wrought by the hammer of cares

There in the heat of our great lament

What is malleable is easy found and bent

The tinning of the most caring ears

Welds worldly greed to wanting fears

And what evil one would never do

Lies distorted behind a hungry view

Cast and forged under great heat

Built the chains for bondage complete

Shackles to tame the uprising mass

Locked with words as shiny as brass

But it is here that the bindings do fail

The clasp of sweet words, so very frail

For what is locked by mere mortal men

Cannot keep us from rising up again

  5. The hope eternal for the spiritual, not for what can be destroyed by men. Brilliant! Loved the words, phrases and images my friend, a grand piece of creative writing. All the best!
