Revealed

~~~
Be wary of the fine words
That drip like honey
Into eager ears
Like sweet red wine
They imbibe the mind
An effervescence
That tickles the ego
~~~

Steel yourself against whim

Truth can hide like shadows

And not every intent

Is so easy seen

That comes between

What is said

And what is meant

~~~
The measure of language
Is found in what we do
Not what we say
For words too easily lied
And hearts easily plied
When love songs
Are all we hear
~~~

Sunlight is beauty reflected

But glare when seen head on

Sometimes there are angles

That offer a better view

If something is really true

A step to either side

Can hold a revelation

~~~
    Wow what a beautiful poetic way to describe perspective Brad. This is so true as people don’t always mean what they say and others may say something that we just don’t take the right way. Very wise piece of advice my friend. I wear my heart right on my sleeve, my mom use to say, and she was right. I still do, so I have to be extra careful not to take something said and get my feelings hurt when I am just misunderstanding the statement or the person’s point of view. Sending love and hugs and a big “Happy Thanksgiving.” too. I don’t know if I will be on line again until after the holidays, as I am going to have to cook for us. Many blessings and thanks to you for your friendship and support dear friend. Love Jonikens xoxoxo
