Tuesday Tidbits #48

~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
It is human nature to avoid what we fear. But by acknowledging our fears, we are given the chance to gain the power over them and the wisdom that comes with it.
Great writing is like a virus. It is transmitted from person to person and it can change how you feel.
The pen truly is mightier than the sword. But the most powerful pen of them all is that of the news media, where artistic license battles with truth.
I try to bridge the distance between myself and the reader in a way that feels like we are holding hands. I want there to be a sense of closeness, where we can feel each other’s heartbeat. I want there to be some intimacy no matter the subject.
Much like primary colors are blended equally to make secondary colors, poetry is not all about just the words. They must be blended in pleasing proportion to paint a rainbowed world. It is meant to be language in art.
Our evolved binocular vision has given us great vision seeing things head on. And poetry has given us just one step to the left or right to see things from a new perspective.
Good poetry does not reveal the poet’s thoughts, it reveals the reader’s soul.
Now get out there and write something!
    Quite a lovely painting you’ve created my friends with those words, precisely placed like careful brush strokes majestically bringing life to the canvas. Brilliant!
    All the best,
    F.
