The Truth

Nobody thought it ever could
But we have been wrong before
Like the forest full of trees
It has become so very obscure

When it is bent by all we hear
The repeated lies and fallacies
Where is the truth we hold dear
When ours seem to never agree
~~~
We find our tribe and listen well
To the words that feed our own
And there under rhetoric spell
Truth becomes the lesser known
~~~
We build our own realities
Hand pick what we believe
Surround ourselves in sycophants
Unwilling the truth to see
~~~
So, there it died a mournful death
Where nothing requires proof
And we have laid to final rest
That thing we called the truth
~~~

You write such beautiful poetry and so often you make it look easy but it isn’t for me. I love writing but it takes many hours for me to write something I am happy with and then I revisit it several times before I publish. You probably do the same but are more disciplined than I am. Sending lots of love and appreciation for all the beautiful reads yesterday. All so timely and so true. Have a blessed and peaceful day. Keep the news off over the weekend if at all possible. Also I do hope you have all your work together in case you decide to publish a book of your many pieces. 🤗💕❤️
