Both Hands

~~~
The care that is due
Bears the repeating
For heartbreak new
Love defeating
Will hollow out the man
~~~

The hope remains true

Hands of a sweet thing

See the heart through

Love ne’er fleeting

Lift it and help it stand

~~~
If you can see to
Its care and feeding
Promised to you
No more needing
Much love returned is planned
~~~

I give it to you

Bloody and beating

This love so blue

Still retreating

Please hold it with both hands

~~~
    Take gentle care with it
    Oh love is such a precious balance. It must be appreciated and cared for in such a tender way. This is a poem that states the truth and yet it’s words are truths often neglected. This piece reminds me of the days of my youth when a boy broke mine. I don’t know if men are the same but I will never forget my first love. Sometimes hearts are too tender for this world. Sending you so much love Brad. I hope someone hasn’t broken your heart or they will have to put up their dukes. Hugs Brad. Love ❤️ Jonikins
      Thanks Jonikins! But those dukes away, I was just lamenting the heartbreaks of days gone by. THanks for all the love! 💖
        Ok, well I might be little but I can pack a bunch when it is someone I care about. Hehe I have never been in a fight, so I am happy to hear it. Great poetry Brad. You are welcome for the love, you bless my life Brad. Love and hugs Jonikins 🤗💕❤️🦋😘
    How could anyone not carefully handle the love you give? How could anyone not return it tenfold? Beautiful as always! ❤❤
  4. Very nicely worded and filled with clear images. The heart is a fragile thing and at the same time a most inexorable one. All the best my friend,
    F.
