Tuesday Tidbits #53

Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!

My comfort zone has always been words, as I have little skill for anything else. And that one small fact leaves me struck in awe by all the other artists who express so beautifully in so many mediums. The painter, the sculptor, the composer, the seamstress, the actor, the architect and so many others have been given such wonderous gifts in art. It is as if they can do magic.

You do not have to be a poet or writer to harness the power of words. โ€œI love youโ€ on a post-it note works too.

Everybody thinks of themselves as just a little better a person than they really are. We oft refuse to accept some of our own failings.

Knowledge does not come from remembering everything right, it comes from remembering you could be wrong. The ability to see things differently than thought is the birthplace of all knowledge.

I do not leave my heart and soul on the paper. What you see is just the overflowing of a well-filled cup.

It is okay to leave some stones unturned. Not every dark corner is meant for light. There must be safe places where the lesser can hide from the better in the fear of its own demise. They must coexist.

As writers, it is uniquely difficult to judge the strength of our work. Our rich history of great writers does not allow us to create something that is the best we have ever read, only the best we have ever written.

Now get out there and write something!
