Tuesday Tidbits #56

~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
~~~

I do not use my writing as a substitute for speaking. I look into to the eyes of friends and family and tell them of my admiration and love. No written word can ever replace the importance of that connection.

The greatest words anyone can write are those that encourage another to speak and be heard. Any voice is best used to lift the next.

How strong are words? Our entire nation was built upon mere words. Words declared to stand as the ideals of a fledging nation. A democracy ‘of the people’ and ‘for the people’. Strong words made as fragile as the parchment they were first written on.

When I first started out writing, I committed to always being my own biggest fan. So far, I am the only one I know of who has read everything I have written.

Though it exists somewhere in my head long before the ink dries to the page in verse, the title to a piece eludes me until the thought has stopped. Only at the end, can I place a moniker on my words.

Good poetry is like a good tea. The longer you steep its flavors, the stronger and more aromatic it becomes. Delicious to its last drop and imbibed to the readers delight.

It is hardest to write about love when the chair next to you is empty.

Now get out there and write something!

    Such amazingly wise and also a sad quote today albeit true. I too can never name a poem until it is done and even then I struggle. I am the only person who has read everything I have written. Great stuff my dear friend. Love ya Jonikins 😘💕🤗❤️

    now I want a cup of tea…

    and coming up with the title of my blog post is my favorite part of blogging, and sometimes I come up with a title before I have written the blog…

    another great set of quotes, Brad!

  7. Another brilliant edition Brad! And how true, “The greatest words anyone can write are those that encourage another to speak and be heard. Any voice is best used to lift the next.” Well written and a valuable lesson. All the best to you my friend,

    Another brilliant selection of tidbits. I too cannot title a post/poem/story until after it is written. As for love, the chair beside you might be empty, but as long as there’s a longing for someone to fill the seat, you have content. ❤

    I sure love that second tidbit. It’s a philosophy I embrace, but I haven’t stated it that eloquently.

  10. Paul Szlosek says:

    Brad, these quotes are absolutely brilliant! They are so insightful and relatable. I would love to feature some of your Tuesday Tidbits in a “10 Great Quotes About Poets, Poetry, and Writing” segment on my blog in the near future with your kind permission…
