Tuesday Tidbits #63

~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
What greater muse is there than new love? When the heart soars on wing in the spring of romance. The world seen new in rose-colored glasses.
Sometimes too many descriptive words and adjectives become like layers of paint and the beauty of the natural wood is lost.
In poetry, tense is everything. It can either chronologically take you on a journey or waver back and forth so bad as to distort the words.
People come to know authors through their words. The feelings expressed often become inexplicably attached to the person who wrote them. But it is what is not found in the words that more accurately portrays the person writing them.
Sometimes, we hesitate to share our words for fear of how they will be received. We fear that someone may tell us that our work is not as good as we had hoped. But you must always remember for whom the words were written. They were written by and for the author, who is the only true judge of their merit.
If you can put my poem aside halfway through reading it, then I have failed as a poet.
What more can be asked of me? If I have given you my entire life within the words I leave behind.
Now get out there and write something!
    ‘people know authors through their words…and what is not in the words’ – so very true
    I quite agree that what is not in their words may be where the authorโ€™s true thoughts and beliefs are resting, hiding or just chilling out…
    A great edition of this very interesting series. All well said my friend!
    I am not very good at keeping track of my tense when writing. But if I take the time to check, I find lots of inconsistencies. Love the quote about the natural wood…
    I love this set! Another week of tidbits where I took something away from all of them and am left unable to choose a favorite.
