Vessel
~~~
Dedicated to my good friend, Rain Alchemist, who has recently lost his mother. My thoughts and love are with you as you find your path ahead.
~~~
The vessel has seen its last
To ground, the body cast
Yet the spirit does remain
Now free from every pain
~~~
Witnessed by angelic eyes
A loving son still survives
Burdened by the loss
Bearing a troubled cross
~~~
For him, time still a measure
But she has become the forever
Something that will always be
Though vessel you do not see
~~~
And, if to him she could speak
Whispered in a kiss to cheek
Forever could be explained
As the her in him retained
~~~
Then simpler words would do
For this mother’s love so true
“It has always been this you,
that my forever holds onto.”

What a beautiful and heartfelt poem that surely must describe those who have passed away from earth think when they look at us in our moments of loss and grief. I hope they are a blessing to him and also to you when you remember our mother.
Thank you sis! You are more a blessing than any words could ever be.
what a lovely ode to your friend’s mother –

you are welcome, Brad!
May your friend have many happy memories of his mother. I know that’s what helps me when I’m missing my own mom.
Thank you, Pete! I lean on those fond memories too.
How beautifully descriptive of a mother’s love and loss, yet filled with words of comfort. Such a kind piece written as a tribute to a friend from a friend. Lovely, such a compassionate heart.
Sending my love, Joni ❤️🤗😘
Thank you Jonikins! Rain is a friend and his loss resonates with me. Sending love in return!!
Rain is a friend. I wrote a line about cleansing rain. I have good memories about playing in the rain. I am sorry about your sense of loss. Thank you for your love Brad, I really do appreciate it and hold it gratefully. ❤️🤗💕love Jonikins
For the first time, rain alchemist has no downpour of words; I am sorry I missed reading it late; such an incredible dedication. As I read this, tears roll down my eyes, slowly sliding down my cheeks. Thanks, Brad; I can never be so thankful to you; thanks for feeling for me and passing such a wonderful message through Vessel. Forever will remain close to my heart brother 🙏😭😭😭
Love you, brother!
You are more family and a friend to me, Brad, than the one who always tends or pretends to be close. My mom would and is happy that I was destined to know you. 🙏
I am the lucky one, my brother!
This is a lovely dedication to your friend. It brought tears to my eyes as I read it. He is lucky to have a friend in you.
I am the lucky one! Thanks, my friend!
