Slippery Slope

~~~
My mind is slanted
Any drop of idea
Runs deftly to the edge
A suicidal plunge
Falling and failing
Just a stain
Left far below
~~~
One chasing the next
Adhesion perplexed
Incongruity
Becomes master
Random disaster
Nothing sticks
Yet stuck I am
~~~
Am I tired
Or uninspired
Have I given
Is cupboard bare
Or am I just
Out of balance
And unaware
~~~

Sometimes finding the balance is the hardest thing
I certainly agree. Thanks Beth!
you just need something to catch those drops of ideas.
when I read this a second time, I almost felt like I was rapping! 🙂
Thanks Jim! I wanted it to be short and choppy to reflect little snippets of congealed thought.
you pulled it off!
I actually feel that way often but you are way to proliferate a writer to be too stuck. You make sounding stuck as if your not stuck at all. Hugs and love Brad. ❤️🤗💕Jonikins
You can tell when I am stuck when the only idea I have to write about is not having any ideas of what to write about. Thanks Jonikins, sending love in return!
Hard to explain why some days are like that while other times the words seem to flow so easily.
Thanks Pete! It helps to know we all struggle with this at times. I appreciate you and your support!
For what it’s worth, you’re the only person I know who can write a poem about writers block while experiencing it. I don’t see your writing fire ever dying out, my friend. One of those embers will catch the flame again, I’m sure of it. ❤
Thanks Kristian. I am sure you are right. Thank you for the positivity!
I enjoy reading this.
I am new to the world of writing. I finally found my peace and comfort.
Words are beautiful 🌼🌼
Welcome! I appreciate your support!
