My Lullaby

~~~
Though our lips have never met
I have kissed you a million times
For each time that I have slept
I partake of you in my mind
~~~

Though absent of your fragrance

You have scented every dream

An aroma of lust and romance

Carried aloft by lurid steam

~~~
Though no touch is rendered true
I can feel it in my head
Fingers trace each curve of you
When I am lying in my bed
~~~

Though I have not seen those eyes

The cold is warmed by their fire

A longing and want unrealized

When at end of day respire

~~~
Though your words never heard
Music of lilt and loving sigh
Echo each and every word
As you sing my lullaby
~~~

      Thanks beautiful Jonikins! You are too kind!

        Thank you for the kind comment Brad. I am never to kind when it comes to your work. It is so stunning and rhythmic. I am always trying to get my pieces to fall as close to rhythmic as you achieve but have yet to master that. Being poet of the month at Spillwords NYC is no small achievement. You should feel very proud of what you have accomplished.

        Hope you are having a wonderful week. Sending my love. ❤️Joni

        Your works hold all their own beauty, however rhythmic you may think they are. This is substantiated by all the publishers who have shared your work. Thanks for all your love and support!
