Sunny, Sunny Day
Sunny, sunny day
Whispers carry clouds away
Hope born by each yellow ray
Amidst a sky bright and blue
Sunny, sunny you
Laughter always smiling through
Kind in everything you do
Shining world with loving eyes
Sunny, sunny skies
Hold no rain of wanton lies
Where you build your paradise
Upon sands of tropic beach
Sunny, sunny each
Story told with wrinkled nose
Open heart that just can’t close
Smile that keeps heavens less grey
Sunny, sunny day
Warmth in all the words you say
Hopeful life would beg you stay
No rain in those eyes of blue
c’mon sky, hold the line –
Makes me think of those optimists who always seem to be in a great mood. I’m so envious of them.
I think of you as one such optimist, Pete!
I try to be. So are you, my friend.
same as you, I try to be…
Bright and filled with light, it is a sunny day indeed and this poem comes in at the right moment. Lovely work my friend! All the best to you,
F.
Thank you, my dear friend!
It’s always a pleasure my friend!
What a joyful poem about Blue eyes someone very special and happy. Someone filled with lots of love and happiness. Beautiful Brad. ❤️🤗🦋💕
Thank you Jonikins! Don’t you have blue eyes?
Dearest Brad my eyes are so dark brown that people have said they almost look black. I have intense eyes and have been told I
can send a message with my eyes across a room. I pick up on things other people don’t and I can only begin to imagine how you still scan any room you enter. Training that you never lose I am sure. I learned as a child to be incredibly sensitive to sounds, hints of danger and to prepare for escape when necessary. Sort of a sixth sense which you have as well I am sure. You and I definitely have some similarities.
I am also a small woman but not afraid to stand up to a six foot well built man if he is hurting another. I believe in justice, kindness and am braver than I probably should be.
I am stubborn when I believe something is wrong and will fight for a cause. I am passionate but have a temper too. My life is lived without extravagance and it doesn’t take much to make me happy.
My faith has been with me since I was about four years old. This is me telling you a bit about who I am.
Perhaps better if you don’t publish. I appreciate your kind spirit, your talent, your love for your country and your modesty. All wonderful traits that I admire.
So I am Joni, (Josie Karen) or Jonikins, the dark brown eyed girl.
Sending you my love and prayers and a little something extra – a bit of extra honesty about who I am.
