Tuesday Tidbits

~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
I hope my mind goes before my hands. I would not be happy the other way around.
The greatest internal motivator to winning in anything is you must hate the thought of losing.
Friends are like a set of encyclopedias. Just having them connects you to more knowledge than one person can possibly retain. Most of my problems through life have always been resolved by “knowing a guy who knows a guy”.
We should embrace our flaws. Imperfection is a birthright in a world where perfection cannot exist. Different is neither less nor more and judgement should be tempered with great reflection on our own truths.
Words are a double-edged sword. They can rise to rally a nation or fall and cleave a belief. They can soothe or incinerate. Love or lie. They are all things, at all times. The great linguistic reflection of the yin and yang of societies.
If you wonder how personally attached you are to your own words, give them to a good editor. You will either be crushed by the revisions to your art or enthralled to see them more beautifully portrayed.
My greatest disappointment would not be when someone needed my help and I had none to give. It would be when someone needed it and they didn’t feel they could ask. That is when I will have failed.
Now get out there and write something!
    imperfection is a birthright – well said
  2. Another wonderful edition Brad. I also have benefited greatly from a “friend that has a friend” or a “guy who knows a guy, who knows…” and it is true, I would feel that I have lost, or not really projected my friendship enough if “friends” in need do not come to me. You are always an inspiration and a great happiness to read my friend. Take good care and all the best…
  3. I must play devil’s advocate with you, beloved brother. You are one of the people I know least willing to go to another when in need, and so, in essence, aren’t you setting those people who care about you enough to want to help you up to fail, by your own words? Just a thought….
  4. So good, I want to comment on all the tidbits. Hands lose value without the mind. Tough choice! Sometimes I envy people who do not hate losing like I do. Friends/Encyclopedia: brilliant thought. Age has helped me embrace my flaws- very liberating! Whoever said “words will never hurt” had not heard too many words. Help, I am getting lost in all the nuances of your words!
    I have no problem admitting my flaws but I have high ethical standards and am always disappointed when I don’t know what to say or do without being harsh.
    I learn a lot from you Brad. I think you are quit wise an an excellent poet.
    Sending you my love Brad. ❤️❤️🤗😘Jonikins
    One of my biggest flaws is asking for help when I need it. I don’t know why I have such a hard time with this. I suppose I dislike admitting defeat. As you said, imperfections are our birthright.
    I hope your friends don’t get replaced by google 🙂
    and what a wonderful thought about hoping people know to ask you when they need help…
