The Shore

Just one small grain of sand

A silicone imperfection

In a thousand different shades

That is all we are

A small, crystallized cube

Among a billion more

Washed by the seas

Different fates and destinies

Bound together on the shore

But each small grain of sand

Uniquely, all that is needed

For the world is our oyster

And we, we are seeds for pearls

It is remarkable how we sometimes can find our perfect match in a sea of millions of fish.

wonderful poem; even made me go searching the web for how an oyster makes a pearl!

Beautiful words Brad. The making of a pearl is another of God’s miracles, I love how you describe it in your lovely piece. We are all so unique. I love pearls, I make jewelry and I mostly use fresh water pearls and garnets (semi-precious stones). A woman can not own to many pearls. Sending you love and warm hugs and a bounty of oysters. I will have taken those pearls and shaped them into something beautiful, given your inspiration. xoxoxoxoxox Jonikins
