Tuesday Tidbits #89
~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
It is good to have hobbies, but they should change. One cannot stagnate. New experiences hold the adrenaline rush of adventure, the opportunity for learning, and the path to a broader scope on life. Sometimes, they lead to new hobbies.
I don’t see not knowing exactly where I am as being lost. I am where I am. I see being lost as not knowing where I am going.
Driving our road in life is like any other trip. It can’t be all accelerator all the time. There will be times when the judicious application of the brakes is great wisdom. It is also easier to steer if you are looking out the windshield and not into the rearview mirror.
Apologizing, saying you are sorry, does not guarantee forgiveness, but it is unlikely without it. They are words to be spoken for what they give, not for what may be received.
When something weighs on your heart, lift it with the pen and place it on the page. Even if yours are the only eyes to see it, the change in pressure will be noticeable.
“It is better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all”, is always said by someone still in love. A broken heart doesn’t feel that way.
Destination is not determined by the direction we choose. It is thrust upon us when we decide we are done moving forward.
Now get out there and write something!
I love the one hobby leads to another quote, I’ve lived this!
Thanks Beth! Learning lasts a lifetime!
I like EVERY ONE of these! My favorite is about being lost not if you don’t know where you are, but if you don’t know where you are going. And, of course, looking through the windshield instead of the rearview mirror is still something I’m working on…..
Thanks sis!
I can usually pick a favorite but not today. These are lovely Brad. I can relate to this tidbits of wisdom written by you. I did how ever have to agree with what you said about the old quote, “It is better to have loved and lost.” It never feels that way at the time. 🤗❤️
Thanks Jonikins!
My pleasure. Did you ever drop a line? Sending a bundle on hugs, wrapped in appreciation and love. ❤️🤗💕
But sometimes destiny is a real bitch! Great thoughts my friend…
Thank you Francisco!
Always a pleasure Brad!
Love your thoughts on forgiveness. Humans make mistakes, but not everyone can seem to own up to those, say I was wrong, and apologize.
Thanks Pete! I completely agree.
some great moving forward inspirational quotes this week. And I am a big fan of an apology…
Thank you, Jim! Apologies build character…
👍
Love this, thanks buddy!
Thank you!
Tuesday Tidbits is my absolute favorite feature. I would be happy to come up with just one tidbit like these in any given week. You are putting a lot of pressure on yourself to keep it up!
Thank you, Geoff! I started it as a limited series, but it has taken on a life of its own. Now I am so close I would definitely like to make it to the 100th edition.
Sadly because covid I cant do my hobby 😦
