We smiled but a wink at love

Crescent moon in lilac

And scented thoughts

Weaved the most magical dreams

Where we tarried far past due

Like daffodils on sunlit hills

Flowered hair, you bloomed

In radiant light upon the night

You kissed my life so gently

And you married real with true

A knowing glance in lavender

And lips soft as a rose

Bouquet beauty of nature

Where my heart became lost

And there lingered the scent of you
