One Road
~~~
Now is not about then
A moment of the past
Now is not about when
A future yet uncast
Now is about now
And it is passing fast
~~~
Will is not about might
A race we hope to run
Will is not about right
A battle to be won
Will is about will
Getting something done
~~~
Love is not about you
That view is way too small
Love is not about the few
Not a battle line to draw
Love is about love
A love for one and all
~~~
Work is not about life
Not who we have become
Work is not about strife
For perfect there are none
Work is about sharing
The road which is but one
~~~
Now will love work?
~~~

I saw what you did there!! And everything you wrote was true. I’m fortunate to be retired and not having to answer!
Thank you for the support, sis! Love you!
very clever poem; is that a particular style, or one you made up?
Just something fun for a change of pace. Not a style that I am aware of. Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you, Jim!
I’ll call it the Osborne method…
Love is about sharing that love which is just one…one but with many side streets…lovely work my friend!
Thank you Francisco! I always welcome your opinion as it means a great deal to me.
Always a pleasure my dear friend!
Very smartly created, thank you for posting❣️
It is I who thank you for reading and your kind words! 🌹
❤️✨
I am amazed at what you come up with when you are faced with a blank page.
I could say the very same about you my friend. Thank you!
What a cool style! I love the feeling of optimism this piece gives.
Thanks Pete! The style was a happy accident, but the optimism is a mind set.
Very cleaver my friend. I love this piece. So much truth in this poem as well. I like what both Francisco and Jim said. “The Osborne method.” Sending you big warm hugs as I am guessing it is getting cold there. It is cold in NC. Love ❤️ Jonikins 🌹🌹
Getting cold enough that I talked about putting the bike to bed for winter. Thank you for your love and support!
Oh that means it is really cold. I bet you miss riding in the winter months. You are so welcome Brad. Sending more hugs and love. Stay safe. ❤️
