If morning heralded by rising moon

And sun made the midnight noon

If thorns bloomed from petaled stem

And angels as evil as mortal men

If grass revealed a shade of blue

And our skies seen in greenish hue

If one and one should equal five

And being dead seems more alive

If water easily flowed uphill

And running fast was standing still

If laughter held naught but tears

And hope could not stay the fears

If bedtime hour, I rise to the light

Or sleep hidden from the day now night

If nothing remained of the world I knew

The only constant would still be you
