Tuesday Tidbits #100
~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
And a special thanks to all my readers and followers for the gracious support of this series. I am proud to say that this is the 100th post in this “limited series”.
Multi-tasking is a good thing when it is a skill derived from great time management. Not so much when it comes from the inability to focus.
A “bucket list” is the poster child for procrastination.
The birth of your first child brings with them a newfound love and respect for your own parents. You finally understand what they meant when they told you that they love you.
Dogs and cats are the best pets because of their higher intelligence. They can have their owners trained within a couple weeks.
A person can be good at one hundred things and still fade into the annals of history anonymously. But be exceptional at one thing and you may be remembered.
One of the best things you can teach your children is to think for themselves. It pays dividends in rebellion, conflict, and an “I know better” attitude in the short term. But in the long term, its value becomes priceless.
Life is nothing more than a long series of choices. Some good and some bad, but all choices.
Now get out there and write something!
i love the first child quote, and happy 100!
Thank you, Beth! I never envisioned this going this long.
I guess I should stop working on the fifth bucket list I’ve created this week.
and congrats on number 100!
Too funny, Jim. And thank you for your support. You have been here for all 100 and I appreciate that!
and I’ve enjoyed each of the 600 or so quotes that came with them!
Thanks, Jim!
I used to like teaching students who challenged the things they were learning. The world needs more critical thinkers.
It does seem that being exceptional in one thing gets you further than being good in one hundred.
I agree the world needs more critical thinkers. I am still trying to find what I am exceptional at. I am pretty good at Irish goodbyes, but that seems counterproductive to gaining any fame. I appreciate all your support, Pete!
Geez, Brad, all simply delicious tidbits. Some like the “first child” quote represent my thinking but you express it so well. Others like “multi-tasking” and “procrastination” are entirely new twists to me. Congratulations on 100th in the series. Looks like enough for a full book!
Thank you, Geoff! I would not have gotten here without the kind support of readers like you. And there are enough for a full book or at least a ‘quote-a-day’ calendar. (Publishers can find my contact information on the ‘contact’ page) Just not sure how to sell quotes from someone who holds no ancillary fame.
A real catch 22..
That it is…
Happy 100!! Thanks for sharing these. I’m sometimes late, but I really do look forward to these tidbits every week. They always leave me with something, as they are always filled with wise advice and inspiration.
Thank you, Kristian!
Congratulations for 100. Happy New year.
Thank you, Anita! And a Happy New Year to you and yours!
