Christmas Eve

I watch the world curl into itself
As streets empty from the rush
Eager people make their way home
And there falls a Christmas hush

Ice crystal dancers spin in the air
In the footlights all aglow
As twinkling lights spark the night
And reflect the falling snow

Around the hearth we gather all
To share this most special night
To sing and laugh and love so well
To hold our family tight

Through frosted windowpane

The sound of peace for all man
A beautiful blanket all in white
