Tuesday Tidbits #101

~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
~~~

There are trinkets in our lives that are priceless to us. Small odds and ends with little monetary value. They are fond memories trapped in amber and imbued onto the innocuous. A rock, a ticket sub, a favorite song. Each comes with a story, and it is that story which holds its worth.

Getting old sucks. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. However, there is a line, somewhere on your graph of years, that gets crossed, and people stop asking you to help them move, so it is not all bad.

If I had known I would need it to last this long, I would have treated my body more like a temple than an amusement park.

You cannot ask someone to be a part of your happiness unless you already know what makes you happy and share it openly.

Just because you have forgotten how to say, ‘thank you’, doesn’t mean I have forgotten how to hold the door for someone. We both can only be who we are.

Occasionally, I do look behind me. Not to dwell on my past, simply to make sure I am not running in a circle.

It is likely that the only time my autograph will have any value is when it is at the bottom of a check.

~~~
Now get out there and write something!
  1. Hmmmm… I guess now would not be the right time to share with you that I’m thinking of moving and will need your help? Seriously though, I really liked each and every one of these tidbits and truly could connect with them from a personal perspective. Good thoughts!
    the tiny trinkets with meaning are the best possessions – p.s. i was surprised to see your tuesday tidbits as i’m on break and thought it was wednesday )
  3. Well, getting old has its own set of principles, hardships and ventures, I would say. They are definitely not the best years, this our body reminds us all the time, but it is a time when we have more time to reflect and with the advantage of having more experience…and hopefully more knowledge…we are able to appreciate life better. And what on earth is a cheque? LOL! Haven’t written on in years…
    another wonderful collection of quotes, Brad!
    I never thought about it, but it has been a while since anyone has aked me to help them move, so I guess I crossed that line at some point without knowing it…
    I wish I had taken better care of my body in my youth as well…
    and I guess I need to stop getting annoyed when I hold the door from someone and they do not say thank you…
    These are great. I loved them all but I really smiled when I read that people don’t ask you to help them move any more. Getting old does suck in physical ways. I look forward to playing like I could when I was little in the woods all day. I will have to wait till it is my time but I do look forward to that. Great truths. Hugs and love Brad. ❤️🤗🦋🙏Jonikins
    Apparently, I haven’t crossed that line of people asking for help when moving. I’m not complaining. I’ve got a big pickup and the time and energy to help. I feel grateful that my body has held up this long.
    Not having to help people move? Thanks for giving me something to look forward to! 😉
    I love all of these, but I must say, if you ever publish a book of poetry, and I’m lucky enough to receive an autographed copy, your autograph will be deeply valued. ❤
