Tuesday Tidbits #105

Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!

On stage, I would be considered a character actor. In life, I am just a character.
All knowledge is beneficial. Even when what we learn is not beneficial to our own circumstances. It is better to “know” you are wrong, than to “think” you are right and inevitably be wrong anyway.
I lead a drama-free life as best I can. It is sometimes boring and mundane, but that is exactly what drama-free means. A lack of drama.
Bravery is not the absence of fear. It is the trait of acting fearlessly when you are consumed by fear.
When I am accused of thinking I am always right, I remind my accusers that I think I am right only half the time. The other half, I know I am right.
Even a wrong word, at the right time, can be a Godsend to some who is suffering. Do not let, “I don’t know what to say”, keep you from speaking. Just open your mouth and let your heart guide you.
If you are offended by something, it is because you choose to be. And in doing so, you empower the offender.

Now get out there and write something!

my fav this week, is saying something to ease someone’s suffering, even if you ‘don’t know what to say.’
Thanks, Beth! Recognizing that someone is in need is more important than the words that come to mind.
that’s right –
I have found people to be very forgiving if you say the wrong thing but your heart is in the right place. I also do not believe in empowering the offender although my emotions do not always do what I tell them to. Still my favorite is the half of the time you know you are right because I go for the humor every time!
Thanks, Geoff! Somehow, I knew the being right one would hit close to home for you!
sometimes it is hard to know what to say, but I agree. saying anything is likely to be welcomed by someone who is suffering…
Something like “it is not the gift, but the thought that counts”. Thanks, Jim!
exactly!
I don’t like being around people whose lives are one roller coaster of drama. Drama = unnecessary stress.
I avoid it like the plague, no wait, like Covid…
Apt comparison.
Love this !
Thank you kindly!
You’re very welcome
These are always marvelous but the last two are my favorites. Great wisdom Brad. Big squeeze, love Jonikins
