May I Impose?
~~~
Dear friends and readers,
May I impose upon you again and ask for your vote?
Spillwords Press has honored me with a nomination for “Author of the Year”. That feels just as weird to write as it does to hear. And this is in no small part because of all the support so many of you have already given to me. I hope you will continue that support by taking the time to vote for me. Although, I am realistic about my chances of winning the coveted title, I will admit to being a bit excited. As you always hear in acceptance speeches, I truly am honored just to be nominated. But not so much so that I would not like to win.
So, again, I am back to ask for your vote for “Author of the Year”. Tell your friends, your family, your neighbors. Heck, even start that Twitter account for your beloved furry family friends and have them vote as well. I will take all the help I can get.
Please note that to vote on the Spillwords website you must log in via your Facebook, Twitter or WordPress account.
Voting is open from the 26th to 30th of January on Spillwords Press website at https://spillwords.com/vote
While you are there, you will also see my good friend, Rain Alchemist, is nominated for Poetic Publication of the Year. Don’t forget to give him a click too. I have known Rain for quite a long time now and watched him grow as an artist and as a person. As a mentor to this young writer, I can say that I have never been prouder.
As always, I offer each and every one of you my most humble thanks and my love.
Brad I could not be more excited for you. I was jumping up and down, turning circles, dogs were howling and cats meowing. Neighbors were coming to see if I was hurt or just flat crazy. There are some incredibly talented poets nominated but your writing brings me to tears my friend and also I love how you educate us on so many different forms of poetry. You certainly got my vote and not because I think your a nice guy (although you are) but because your poetry is amazing!!!!!!!! Congratulations to every single person nominated in all the different categories, what an honor to be nominated in Spillwords Press NYC for each of these awards. Amazing talent graces the pages of this on-line magazine. Joni
happy to! done and done. best of luck to both of you –
Thank you, Beth! I knew I could count on you!
Fantastic! I cast my ballot. I’ll put it out over Twitter, too, though I’m pretty anonymous other than following an “AUTHOR OF THE YEAR NOMINEE.” Soak in the accolades, Brad.
Thank you, Pete! You are always so generous.
Congratulations, Brad, on the nomination, and I can only say I am blessed to have you as my mentor; I am sure you are the most deserving candidate for author of the year, not just because your words or poetry is beautiful also because it helps people, always have learned something wise from them. You know I have voted for you and also told everyone I know to first vote for you and then for me if they like my work. Thanks for mentioning it in your post; for me, this itself is the most significant honour. Good luck, brother, my best wishes and I strongly hope you win.
I hope to see you on the winner’s podium, my friend. You are just as deserving!
The only thing that would make me happier at this moment is if I had multiple accounts so I could vote more! Congrats on this well-deserved nomination!
Thank you, sis! Would not be here without you!
