Tuesday Tidbits #107
~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
~~~
It is good to have a “to-do” list. It is best to put yourself at the top of it.
I am neither the person I pretend to be nor the person you hope I am. I am much more flawed than either of those versions.
Taking a moment to be still and present is not a waste of time. It is simply a re-purposing of that most precious and limited resource.
The best way to learn the most is to say the least.
You are never more vulnerable than when you express your fears to another. With this knowledge is given an explicit and unlimited amount of trust and a great deal of responsibility.
If you think you really, really know someone, chances are you are wrong. Circumstances can reveal a lifetime of hidden things.
Success usually comes at the end, proceeded by many glorious failures.
~~~
Now get out there and write something!
i especially love the one at the end, about success coming at the end of many failures
Thanks, Beth! A classic inspiration told in a million different ways.
Wow, each and every ONE of these packed a powerful punch that I can relate to! They are all so good that I can’t even pick a favorite! Thanks for thinking of and sharing these!
Thanks, sis! Love you!
Yes, glorious failures, paths to knowledge, not really knowing anyone…all such truths. Very interesting thoughts you have proffered today my friend. All the best.
Thank you, brother!
You’re welcome my brother!
all lovely, but love how you saved the bestest for last. Yay. thanks. xoxo
Thank you, Selma! You are too kind.
some great quotes here, Brad.
Regarding this one:
“The best way to learn the most is to say the least.”
If this is the case, my students must be learning quite a bit… 🙂
Thanks, Jim! I have no doubt that they are.
I think quotes should have a name attached to them (credit where credit is due)….
Unless you’re going to quote my bad puns, in which case it’s strictly “entre nous.”
I thought it was unnecessary to put my name on each one, but I get your point. Thanks for the support!
Love your thoughts on showing our vulnerability. I have to say those are the people I have the most respect for. Seeing their confidence and trust inspires me to do the same.
This is an area that I could do better in. Luckily there are people like you to be an example. Thanks, Pete!
I have done the hard part and amassed many glorious failures but I am getting a little anxious waiting for the success at the end because I ain’t getting any younger. Maybe I have been saying too much and learning the least.
With your self-imposed rules on post length, I don’t think anyone can insinuate you are talking too much. As for success, that beautiful family of yours is one if you have not noticed. Thanks, Geoff!
Ah, yes, you are right!
These are all good. I know I need to say less and listen more. My greatest fault is to be too honest when honestly I should probably not answer the person’s questions. I agree Brad we definitely learn by making mistakes. It is the best teacher so often. Luckily for me I don’t have a problem apologizing either and I am a loyal friend. You could honestly write a book composed with your wise quotes. They are always so good. Sending big hugs Brad. Love Jonikins ❤️🤗
Thank you, Jonikins! Goodness knows I have enough of them for a book.
Yes and they are so good. Truly great wisdom and originality in your tidbits. I hope you have them all together. Sending lots of love. ❤️🤗🦋🙏 Big hugs Jonikins
I love every single one of these. Another Tuesday Tidbits where I find it hard to choose a favorite. I will admit, the first one about putting myself at the top of my “to-do” list, made my mind wander to a place that was probably not intended. 🤣
On a serious note, however, these are all wonderful!
Or was it exactly what was intended?!? We may never know. Thank you, Kristian!
Haha!
