Tuesday Tidbits #108

~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
Sadly, many find it easier to have an affair than to be honest to the person they said they loved.
The way to a man’s heart is not through his stomach. It is through his ego.
I cannot talk about my success or achievements without feeling braggadocious. How is what I have done anything more than so many others? It makes marketing myself a nightmare and offers an erroneous sense of humility.
A poetry contest with an entry fee is not promoting the art, it is profiting from it.
Some people spend their whole lives searching for the thing to make them happy when it has nothing to do with a thing at all.
Hate is as poisonous to have as it is to give.
The mouse does not blame the trap. It blames the cheese.
Now get out there and write something!
    wise, wise words, brad
  2. Gee, I don’t know… I don’t think I’m someone who strokes your ego, but I’ll just say three words – – Cowboy Baked Beans!
  3. K.L. Hale says:
    I’ve experienced some of these words~by the way, who moved my cheese? Thanks for making this a thinking Tuesday! πŸ€—πŸ’•
    • Brad Osborne says:
      Thank you, Karla, for all your support! I don’t know who moved your cheese, but I do know you will find it! πŸ’–πŸŒΉ
      • K.L. Hale says:
        You’re welcome, Brad! Thank you for your support as well! The book, “Who Moved My Cheese”, written by Spencer Johnson, was introduced to me in 2001. It was a superb resource for me and other educators in dealing with business and personal change. Here I am 20 years later and I finally let go of the old cheese. Cheese was a good metaphor for jobs, relationships, money, etc…and for some reason, what you wrote, made me think of this book after so many years! Take care my sweet friend! πŸ€πŸ€—
      • Brad Osborne says:
        It may have been that long since I was introduced to the book and like you, I found it a great resource about change in any aspect of my life. I am glad you have found a different path to what you seek. Thank you for your kind words! Much love, my friend! πŸ’–
        Thank you, Brad. It’s so encouraging to find like-minded souls here in my WP family! Much love right back! ❀️
    fun and insightful set of quotes. and it’s always the cheese’s fault…
  5. kristianw84 says:
    Every single one of these made an impact. Where will I land if I stroke his ego and bake him cookies? πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†
  6. Very good tid bits today, as usual, Brad. I especially thought quite interesting the mouse and the cheese…
  7. petespringerauthor says:
    I’ve often wondered how much money companies make with writing contests.
    There is a talent to marketing one’s self without sounding braggadocious. I’m not sure I’ll ever feel comfortable with that.
    Oh boyβ€”our stomachs and our egos can get us into trouble.
