No Crystal Ball
~~~
We cannot divine the future
Rods crossing at chance
Some dousing of waters
Yet to flow their course
~~~
We cannot see all the road
Only to the horizon
Next stretched beyond our view
And always remaining
~~~
No crystal ball
The insight of mystic light
Painting the scenes
Of what may come after
~~~
Only the days behind
Can be marked by number
Our past are the stones
That ripple what follows
~~~
Live now, be now
Unbound to the past
Unconcerned in the future
Where we define the present
~~~
Nice post
This is a true and very important message. To truly live, one must live in the present moment, that is all there is, the past is a memory and the future unknown. A beautiful poem, artistic and evocative and a smashing good message for all. Cheers Brad, lovely work.
Thank you, brother. Have a great weekend. Cheers!
You’re welcome Brad, always a pleasure. Thanks and a great weekend to you too!
live now, be now. yes
Thanks, Beth!
beautiful insights, Brad. Reminds me a bit of Steve Jobs’ line about how we can’t connect the dots looking forward, we can only connect them looking backward…
Thanks, Jim!
“Our pasts are the stones, and the ripples that follow”…beautiful line,…beautiful poem as always! ❤️💛♥️
Thank you, beautiful Karla!

Living in the present is always the way to go.
