If I Had Known
~~~
If I had known, it would end like this
I would have lingered longer in each kiss
Wished a little harder with every wish
If I had known, it would end like this
~~~
If I had known, we would get this far
I would have saved every moment in a jar
Become some lesser man by far
If I had known, we would get this far
~~~
If I had known, words not always true
I would have paused any second with you
Somehow blessed by what I never knew
If I had known, words not always true
~~~
it changes everything
Amazing what a little knowledge will do. Thanks, Beth!
absolutely
Beautiful, Brad. 💕
Thank you, dear Karla! 💕
You’re welcome ☺️. Have a beautiful day! 💕
You make uncommonly good use of a common phrase.
Thanks, Geoff!
What we wish we knew then.
So true, Pete! So many stories could start with “If I had known….”
People are often not what they seem. Sometimes it is a shocking surprise and often times we feel completely played by how they presented themselves and who they actually turned out to be. Lovely poem to express how sometimes we don’t know what fate might hand us. Sending you big hugs Brad. Have a blessed day. Love Jonikins
the great lament; if only…
