Tuesday Tidbits #114

~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
~~~

It is no surprise we love firefighters. Much like law enforcement officers, they are the heroes willing to risk their lives to save our own. The difference is they won’t pull you over for speeding somewhere down the road.

One of the hardest times in life is when you think you care about someone more than they care about themselves.

Much of social media has become the Fun House Hall of Mirrors. Nothing but a lot of people with distorted images of themselves.

Do not let a lack of tears convince you that someone is not hurting.

We often discern our romantic connection with a partner from the very first kiss. The first kiss can be everything. Done well, we fall hopelessly in love. Done poorly, we may still fall in bed, but are unlikely to fall in love.

Nothing is owed to you. Not justice, equality, or kindness. Anything worth having you will have to fight for. Not only for yourself, but for others.

Humanity is throwing a penny in the wishing well and wishing for someone else.

Now get out there and write something!

    Brad, I love Tuesday Tidbits! The first and the last spoke the most to me. We lost a young firefighter in SW MO last week. Such a beautiful tribute was held for him. And if only we think of others, too. Have a terrific Tuesday! Sending love and hugs. 💕🤗

  2. So true about firemen… lots of sound, correct thinking here, as usual, Brad.

    Fabulous! The one about caring about someone more than they care about themselves really struck me.

  4. #s 2, 4 and 7 all resonated loudly and are in tune with my thoughts. I have experienced #s 2 and 4 exactly as you state them, and when I am quietly sending wishes and prayers upwards, they are always for someone else, even though I’ve never actually done it with a penny in a fountain or wishing well!

  5. Firefighters do have that one big advantage!
    Making a wish secret is a tradition promoted by people who make wishes only about themselves.

    I loved the thought regarding the lack of tears. Not everyone grieves in the same way.

    like much of the world, I have always had a very soft spot for the helpers of the world. I especially love the strong but very gentle spirit that some possess.

    I still remember our first kiss, on a dance floor with a bunch of other coworkers. From then on we saw each other and everyone said it wouldn’t last, we are still together soon to be 26 years. He was younger than me and most of our friends said it was a mistake, little did they know. I had to stop and think about the Wishing-well, I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever done that before. What a lovely thought. As always your bits of wisdom are well said and amazingly beautiful bits. Sending you hugs and lots of love ❤️ Brad. Jonikins

    firefighters are the uniformed people I have the most respect for, so I liked your shout out to them. and what a great description of social media!
