Tuesday Tidbits #115

Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!

I don’t gamble, but not because I have a gambling problem. I don’t gamble because I have a losing problem.

The only hope that any man has with a romantic partner is that they believe he is not like every other man.

You cannot be angry about corporate greed when you are celebrating the great returns on your 401K.

It is possible to be filled with emotion and still speak in a conversational tone. I am not saying it is easy, but it is possible. When it comes to relationships, it is not only possible, but also vital.

Think twice. Speak once.

You do not have to spend a lot of time in Europe to recognize that the United States was founded by Puritans and is steeped in generational and cultural inhibitions.

In an argument, volume has an opposite effect. The louder someone gets, the less likely they are to be heard.

Now get out there and write something!

    Each one “spoke” to me, Brad. Love the tidbits! And sending love snd hugs to you.💛🥰🤗

  3. I don’t gamble because I have a gambling problem! When young and dumb, I dumped quite a few paychecks into slot machines thinking “One more, just one more” and now I stay away from them completely! And, I dare say, I certainly have to practice – a lot – on being full of emotion and still speaking in a conversational tone. Then again, when I’m full of emotion, we know I need to focus more on WHAT I say than HOW I say it.

  4. Think twice; speak once! Brilliant!!!

    You’ve hit on one of the old tricks from my teacher’s playbook. Use a quieter voice, and the kids magically settle down too.

    I love the romantic partner quote, but every single one of these tidbits are full of wisdom!

  7. I was mixed up before. I would speak twice and think once. My life may improve now that you straightened that out.

    These are all good ones Brad. My favorite is;

    “The only hope that any man has with a romantic partner is that they believe he is not like every other man.”

    You are write about talking in a soft voice much better. I use my hands when I talk a lot.

    Sending big hugs and love ❤️ Jonikins
