Fight On

Injustice is not reserved
For the wayward and owed
Life has plenty of unfair
Enough for all to share
Reaping the unsowed
Circumstances undeserved

Right will not always win
Though lawyers are well paid
Evil may still win the day
Karma off on holiday
Justice In a shallow grave
We pay for unknown sins

But win or lose, we fight
We stand toe to toe
Doing all that we must
Seeking out what is just
We battle every foe
Of what we think is right

I think the lesson for me is to choose our battles carefully. I don’t want to go through life involved in a bunch of drama. At the same time, it is our duty to speak up for those who can’t defend themselves.
Wise words, my friend! But we don’t always get to pick our battles, sometimes they are thrust upon us, and we can either relent or stand up for ourselves.
