Tuesday Tidbits #120
~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
Why is the word “abbreviated” so long?
When you feel confident that something will “never” happen, it is because you are looking through the lens of our miniscule life spans. In the realm of eternal time, all things are possible.
When you look long enough and hard enough at the decisions you have made in the past, you will see they rarely came from want or need, but from fear.
Even the pain of losing cannot completely overcome the thrill of risking.
A mistake can be forgiven, but not until you own it.
Friends rarely need an apology, but good friends always give one anyway.
Beware the things you think will never happen. I have heard many tragic tales prefaced with the words, “I never thought…”.
Now get out there and write something!
ha! you had me at the non-abbreviated ‘abbreviated’ line
Words are funny things. Thanks, Beth!
Thank you, Karla! You are so very kind. 💕🤗😘🥰💖
You’re welcome my friend! 💛❤️🥰🤗💕
Apologies are always necessary and you’re so right, good friends always give them. Splendid tidbits my friend! And a great day to you!
Thank you, my brother!
You’re very welcome my friend!
Even if an apology is not needed or necessary by the person to whom we give it, owning the moment when we did not speak or act carefully is important in our own growth. And I’m clueless on how to answer your first tidbit, but it really has me thinking!
Well put, sis! Thank you!
I suspect the reason “abbreviated” is so long is because it has so many letters….just as the word “long” is short because it has so few letters. By the same token, I suppose this comment is just plain too much…. so I’ll quit while I’m (not) ahead. 😉
That is an astute observation and factually correct. I guess the real question is what is the abbreviation for the word “abbreviation”?
Brev is the abbreviation for brev.
I knew you would know. Thanks, Geoff! Hoping you and yours are well and happy.
Another excellent series of tidbits! The first one made me chuckle, and the last one made me think.
Thanks, Kristian! I love the idea that I could make you chuckle. Best wishes and much love!
