You don’t know me, I will give you that

And I don’t know you, as a matter of fact

So, why would I ever think you might listen to

Words from someone like me to someone like you

To be honest, I do not know that you will

But it is imperative that I write them still

It seems to me just the right thing to do

When someone like me cares about someone like you

For if life has come to bear upon your heart

And hardships are tearing your world apart

When suicide seems an intelligent choice

Then someone like me needs to have a voice

For I live in this world that we both share

And it won’t be the same for me, if you’re not there

So, please seek the help to see life through

Prayer from someone like me for someone like you

If these words cannot make you stay

Then all I will ask for is one more day

Do not give to the night what it is not due

This world will always need someone just like you
