Mistakes
~~~
There are no revisions to my bad decisions
Through the span that is my life
No misgivings in a life worth living
That had its times of strife
~~~
Win or lose, I got to choose
What direction I would go
And learned I did, things still hid
The things I did not know
~~~
With every wrong that came along
I paid the published price
But some remained unretained
And I had to learn them twice
~~~
Wisdom is rarer when found in error
These lessons the hardest learned
Forever cast, cannot change the past
Time has those bridges now burned
~~~
It is easy to see, in my history
That I made a few mistakes
And truth be told, though now old
Tis likely a few more Iβll make
~~~
this could be my biography. I get every word of it.
Thanks, Beth! You always get me.
Very true. Well said. Well written. Wise words wonderfully put.
Thank you, Yasmin! Your praise always lifts me up.

There is such truth in these words to which all of us can relate on our own levels. I wish I could figure out how to look at the past through the eyes who can say these things.
Thanks, sis! How else would you look at a past you cannot change?
Well said, such true words.
Thank you, Joy!
Perfectly said, and something every one of us can relate to. Bravo, my dear friend!
Not quite “everyone of us” — I doubt Trump can relate to it. Seriously.
I meant as in Brad’s readers. π
I stand rejected — I mean “corrected.” π
Valid point. And I would tend to agree!
Thank you, Kristian! Much love to you!
I’d define them not as mistakes but as lessons learned.
That is taking a positive view of things. Thank you, Pete!
I need to stop making the same mistakes so that I have time to make some new ones!
Even in failure, a change of scenery is always appreciated. Thanks, Geoff!
Wonderful penned. Iβm going to share this with my teens as I keep telling them that mistakes are learning opportunities.
Adn we always keep learning. Thank you, Bridgette!
So true!
Thank you, M!
