Lineage
~~~
It is there, deep inside
A strength unknown
The resilient heart
Generationally grown
~~~
Forefather’s drums beat
Within your veins
Fortitude untapped
To ease the pain
~~~
Strong, proud men
Of the lives now past
Have instilled in you
The strength to last
~~~
From your father, his father
And his father and his
Is all the knowledge
Of what real strength is
~~~
You wear a proud mantle
Already well earned
But there is a power in you
That remains yet unlearned
~~~
So, rise and face
What battles may come
Always remember
Where you came from
~~~
For your father, his father
And his father too
Are all standing
Right behind you
~~~
Beautiful and a great thought honouring fathers and grandfathers. Brilliant! All the best to you my friend!

I feel strength through your words, Brad! Beautiful! I’m so thankful for my lineage. 💛💕🥰
Thank you, Karla! They are not nearly as strong as you are, my friend! 🙏🤗
Aww 🥰, thank you Brad. Sending love and hugs. I thank you!
What a lovely reminder of the gifts we inherited are always with us, and therefore, so are our ancestors. This reads so beautifully, my dear friend!
Thank you, Kristian! 😘
Wonderful poem!
Thank you, Joy!
I feel responsible for continuing the lessons my grandparents and parents taught me and passing them on to our son.
Just goes to show that when you retired, it was from the classroom, not the profession. You should be proud. Your son has been an exceptional student of life. Thank you, Pete!
I can sense my mother in the crowd as well!
Wow!! All the best bro
Thank you, Joyce!
