Tuesday Tidbits #127
~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
Failure is a product of trying. Success is a product of trying over and over again.
If you have never taken the time to write to or talk to your Congressional Representative or Senator, don’t be surprised when they do not have your interests in mind.
Two party politics is like organized religion. The only way to be right is for everyone else to be wrong.
There is no more egregious a lie than the one we tell ourselves.
We must look on our past without ego. We must accept what we find. We must promise ourselves to be better than we were.
I have never respected anyone more than a friend who will tell me when I am wrong.
As a poet, I am pressed to put love into words. To somehow define that moment when we are all struck speechless. And if you have ever felt that kind of love, you know it is an impossible task.
Now get out there and write something!
Amazingly written 😊👌
Thanks, William!
I so agree about not complaining if you never actively reach out to your representatives and speak your mind or ask questions
Thanks, Beth! We must be willing to participate in our own governance.
There are three people to whom we should never lie: our doctor, our lawyer and ourselves. If you think about it, when we believe the lies we tell ourselves, we’re either in denial or a narcissist!
Great point! Thanks, sis. Love you!
Perfect quotes, dear Brad (as I sit in the middle wondering about common sense and love!). Happy Tuesday! 💛❤️🤗
Thank you, Karla! I hope you are doing well. Just so you know, there is little common sense in love. 🤗
Exactly! I’ve learned! In general, common sense is what I was thinking about the other quotes and today’s “events” in general. I’m doing good! I’m actually typing this sitting at dr’s with my sweet Momma (I have a 3 hour glucose monitoring going on). I’m hanging in there! Much love and hugs! 🤗
You are so very wise, my dear. I love and agree with all of these tidbits, but the last one is my favorite! It’s funny, love and sunsets are the hardest topics to put poetic words to, but they’re what I always try to describe the most.
Thank you, my dear! I hope your life is filled with both! 😘💕
I like the thought about our ego. It’s okay to have one, but we need to be honest enough to recognize the areas we fall short in and work on them to improve as people.
Thanks, Pete! I fully agree, but I am not sure everybody feels that way.
You are wrong. I am not sure about what but I hope I have gained your trust.
You already had it, my friend!
These were all great Brad and true. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Sending my hugs, Jonikins
