Tuesday Tidbits #129
~~~
Welcome to the limited (?) series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
There is a warrior in each of us. The only difference is the battles we face.
I am impatient. I want the things I want now. I know all too well that I am not promised any tomorrows.
Beauty is a curse for women. It is immediately noticeable and hard to hide. And it is often mistakenly thought to be their only asset. As if being beautiful stops you from being anything else.
I wrestle my demons every day. And each day, I grow a little stronger and my demons a little weaker.
I am not like any man you have ever met, nor are you like any woman I have ever met. Let’s agree to leave our pasts and the assumptions they hold behind and love each other with clear eyes.
An emotional response always feels good, but it is a rational response that is often needed to accomplish the goal.
If you do not treat the person you hold dear with love and respect, someone else will.
Now get out there and write something!
wonderful – especially like the last one about how to treat someone you care about
Thank you, Beth! Sometimes we forget to make the people we love feel loved.
So true, if you don’t love, appreciate and let the person with you know, someone else will. And it is without a doubt a solid truth that there is a warrior in all of us, some may not be fit for war but they may be extraordinary battling other situations. Great ideas, thoughts and tidbits my good friend!
Thank you, my dear friend! And I agree, you don’t have to carry a gun or a flag to be a warrior. Be well, brother!
You’re very welcome my brother! All the best!
Brad, my heart nodded to every tidbit. Thank you so much. Love and hugs! 💛 Stay well, dear friend!
Thank you, dear Karla!
You’re welcome, Brad! 💛🤗
You hit the nail on the head with every single one of these, my dear! The second one made me want to hug you as it gave me a deeper understanding to your impatience. These are all so true, and of course, the last one hit the hardest. I love your tidbits!!
Thank you, dear Kristian! Sometimes I wonder if I am chasing a dream and I am just scared to wake up.
Lots of wisdom today, Brad. I agree with your thoughts about rational and emotional responses. If we just take an extra beat to think about our responses before we act, we’ll have far fewer problems.
So true, my friend! A moment’s pause can make all the difference in our perspective. Thank you, Pete!
Re the first quote, often “the battles we face” are against our inner demons, with whom we must “wrestle every day” (the fourth quote) if we can. If we refuse to see that the biggest stumbling block to inner peace is dealing with the war within us, we will never win the battles.
I would agree that we harbor our own demons, and some are our own creations. But I am not sure that every struggle in life is fully internalized. Thank you for your thoughts!
Let’s trade demons. Mine are getting stronger and I need some that have already been weakened.
Fear not, good friend. Your demons will never get past Mollie!
Ha, you are right! I am safe unless she turns to the dark side.
Never thought about that!
These are all wonderful and full of wisdom Brad. Hugs Jonikins
