Slippery Slope

~~~
My mind is slanted
Any drop of idea
Runs deftly to the edge
A suicidal plunge
Falling and failing
Just a stain
Left far below
~~~
One chasing the next
Adhesion perplexed
Incongruity
Becomes master
Random disaster
Nothing sticks
Yet stuck I am
~~~
Am I tired
Or uninspired
Have I given
Is cupboard bare
Or am I just
Out of balance
And unaware
~~~

Well, you just described MY life right now! How are things in YOUR life?
That answer will not fit in the comments. We should talk this weekend. Love you, sis!
love the last stanza. think we all wonder this at times
Thanks, Beth! I am guilty of a lot of wondering.
I’m known for it-
I don’t think your cupboards are bare. Have you looked in all the cupboards?
I’m sure you will find your spark again, my dear.
I know that is true, my friend. All I need is something to light the fire. Thank you, Kristian! ♥
Then, for some unknown reason, the words come the next day. Did they take the day off?
It is odd how it works sometimes. Thanks for reminding me it is temporary, Pete!
You may be all those things….except unaware.
Thank you, Geoff!
I get that feeling on a pretty regular basis. However you are such a prolific writer Brad and your work is amazing so I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Jonikins
